Things I Don’t Want to Forget: Two Years, Four Months

Things I Don't Want to Forget, Two Years, Four Months | R.Simple Life+ All the timeouts. There are a lot.

+ All the kisses. There are lots of those too.

+ The early morning snuggles with Mama. Your favorite position is directly on top of me.

+ The sweet grin you come to me with when “you have to go.”

+ How cute your face gets, all scrunched up, when you want rose water.

+ “Aaah! He’s so scary!” about anyone who should be wearing a helmet, but isn’t.

+ How sweet you are to your little brother already. You talk to him, hug him, kiss him, and love on him constantly.

+ How inquisitive you are. You’re building your own little encyclopedia in that brain of yours, I know it.

+ The way you repeat the joke when you realize it’s funny. Somehow your timing makes it just as funny the second time.

+ All the flowers you pick for me.

+ The constant spitting.

+ Your sweetness with other kids. I always expect you to be a little more selfish, but you’re almost always super sweet.

+ The way you were when I held that sweet newborn baby. Kissing her feet and snuggling her legs.

+ How you always choose Mama for nighttime snuggles. Papa needs some too, my love, but I’ll take them while I can have them.

+ The bow ties.

+ Our days together, just the two of us on our own adventure. Those days are numbered as we’ll have the best kind of tagalong soon, and you’ll be getting older and finding your own things. But these days are the best. I don’t ever want to forget them.

xoxo Mama
