The First Four

Harry's First Four Weeks

Dear Harry,

I can’t believe four weeks ago you were born. The time has flown by. They always said it would… but I had no idea it would be so fast. I fell in love with you like I could have never imagined the minute I saw your squawky little face, and the love has just grown and grown – like you have.

When you were born, you had a full head of hair, the sweetest little legs and toes, and you were 7lbs 4oz of cute little man. today, your head of hair is fuller and longer (despite your first haircut at 10 days old), your sweet little legs are chunkier (and I love them), and though I don’t know how much you weigh right now, I’m guessing you’ve put on at least a pound and a half. You’ve gone from swimming in your newborn onesies to bulging your biceps (and belly) out of your 0-3 month onesies. Your face has become rounder, your cheeks fuller, and your arms longer.

Every day is a new adventure with you. You love to eat, though sometimes it takes a round of ABC’s or Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to get you going. You love to cuddle, preferring to sleep in your dad’s or my arms. Though tummy time is not your favorite, you are so advanced – rolling over, pushing up, moving your head side to side. My absolute favorite is the way you look at me when you realize I’m there. You’re recognizing your dad and me and we love it.

I can’t wait to watch you grow and become the little boy you’re going to be. I can’t wait to watch you fall in love with the world around you. I can’t wait for you to smile and laugh and dance and sing. But I can wait for you to grow up, so stay little for as long as you’d like.

I love you HarBear.

xoxo, Mum

He is just the cutest little guy Mallory! You are so smart to do the weekly photos. I hate to admit I have been terrible at keeping up with the monthly onesie stickers so keep on doing this!! (and posting so I can see more of this little man)! xo

Thank you Lindsey! We’ll see how long I keep up the weekly photos – I definitely am planning on doing the monthly shots though. It’s crazy how much they change week to week this early.
