London is my favorite city in the world. True, I haven’t been to all the cities in the world, not even all the big ones. But I’ve always had a fascination with London. And after our impromptu visit to The City, my love has grown tenfold. The history is something else. The fashion is right down my alley. The winding roads to get lost on are perfect for an evening stroll. The parks are green and plentiful. The landmarks are huge. And there is a pub on every corner – all serving fish & chips and a right pint of cider.

Seriously, you can’t beat London. The image above is by a very talented British illustrator, Nina Cosford, whom I just discovered. I’m dying to get my hands on a few of her books – specifically Royal Palaces + Edinburgh. Maybe we might just have the first purchase for Baby?

Who has a city which can beat London?

I don’t know what could possibly beat London. I LOVE Sydney, but it’s totally different from London all the while having a very British vibe. I also REALLY heart Paris, but it smells. I’m sure London smells like roses or something. That book looks beautiful!

London smelled like Christmas when we were there. Seriously, there was a huge Winter Carnival, and it smelled like Christmas. Happiest place on earth.
