If you’ll direct your attention to my abdomen, you’ll see we’re starting to notice the teenist of baby bumps. Most days it just looks like I’ve had a big lunch. But as you know, morning sickness hasn’t let me eat a big lunch in over a week. That’s a bump!
How far along: 8 Weeks.
How big is baby: A raspberry!
Total weight gain: 0 lbs – although, I have no scale. So let’s just be optimistic and say 0 lbs.
Maternity Clothes: When I look for clothes now, I look for things with room to grow. But NO maternity clothes, thank you.
Sleep: I slept for 13.5 hours Friday night, then took two naps on Saturday. I’m sleepy.
Best moment of the week: A visit from some friends!
Food Cravings: Last week it was hot dogs. Now, nothing. I don’t want a single thing to eat.
Food Aversions: Still just about everything.
Symptoms: Morning sickness started last week. I’m hoping today’s weak, but not so nauseous stomach means this week we’re moving onto a different symptom. Because, boy let me tell you, morning sickness is terrible.
Movement: Baby has hands + feet! But I won’t feel movement for a while.
Gender: We tried the oh-so-scientific ring on a string over your belly exercise. That said BOY. I’m completely past my “It’s a girl” sureness, and we’ve moved on to total confusion and have-no-clue-ness.
What I’m looking forward to: My first doctor’s appointment AND first ultrasound is next week! And we’ll probably tell family on Father’s Day!
What I miss: Energy.
